Our country core programs/thematic areas
FSD-AFRICA strongly believes in the true and active participation of all key stakeholders―particularly the local communities and/or program/project beneficiaries. Fair efforts are thus taken to ensure that stakeholders participate and contribute at all the stages of the interventions. As one of the key strategies, FSD-AFRICA’s focus is thus to ensure the active participation of women/girls, men/boys, youth and people with special needs wherever it is required/or relevant and where particularly if the program/project has any direct and/or indirect impacts on their lives. The overall approach of work also identifies the gender sensitivities issues in programming if in any case it is related to the program/or project to strategically addresses them. As its overall implementation approach, FSD-AFRICA takes carefully into accounts the local culture and traditions of the targeted communities in programming and therefore fully respects them. The following are thus the key elements of FSD-AFRICA program strategies and work approach:
- Thematic partnerships
- Social mobilization/community engagement/ participation
- Awareness raising and sensitization
- Capacity building/development
- Dialogues and engagements
- Networking and coalition building
- Advocacy and lobbying
- Newsletter publications to inform donors and stakeholders
- Review and Reflection
