Peace, Security, and Governance

FSDA’s peace and security programming in South Sudan focuses on strengthening community resilience and promoting sustainable peace through grassroots dialogues, local peace committees, and the involvement of faith leaders as mediators. FSDA develops early warning systems, spreads peace messaging, and empowers women and youth to participate in decision‑making and conflict resolution.

FSDA also engages youth through peace clubs, sports, and vocational training, while supporting local governance and security actors with training on human rights and accountability. In addition, FSDA provides trauma healing and psychosocial support to foster reconciliation, advocates for transparent governance, and builds partnerships with civil society, UN agencies, and donors.

Together, these efforts reduce conflict, empower marginalized groups, and strengthen trust in institutions, contributing to long‑term peace and security.
